Free memory screenings are provided annually annually each November at thousands of sites throughout the U.S., with the goal of helping people identify initial signs of memory disorders and seek medical care to address potential problems.

A division of the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, Dementia Care Professionals of America is a membership organization for professionals caring for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, and their families. DCPA offers a unique training and qualification program.
Excellence in Care is a nationwide standard of excellence in care for dementia care settings developed by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. The program offers the opportunity for facilities to ensure that their dementia care settings meet the optimal care needs of their residents/clients, and consists of a comprehensive on-site evaluation and consultation on strategies to achieve the established standards for quality of care and to sustain performance.
With the help and guidance of the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, teenagers work to raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease and related illnesses. The goal is to educate and inform the public about Alzheimer's disease, provide support to teenagers with family members with this disease, and involve young people in awareness-raising activities.
AFA on Campus carries on the AFA Teens mission at colleges and universities nationwide.
For the Love of George is a fundraising event benefiting the Alzheimer's Foundation of America that started in New York in 2005, and has spread to several major cities across the country, including Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, Los Angeles, and Palm Beach in the U.S. and Toronto, Canada. It is part of a national event that began as a tribute in honor of the grandfather of the founding New York Junior Committee co-chairs, and has grown over the last decade to honor the millions of individuals who have had or are living with Alzheimer's disease, and their families and caregivers.
