Alzheimer's Foundation of America Opens the NASDAQ Stock Market

NEW YORK, NY - In acknowledgement of the efforts of the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (AFA) to support the estimated five million Americans with Alzheimer's disease and their families, the AFA presided over the open of The NASDAQ Stock Market on Friday, December 13.

AFA's Chief Executive Officer Eric J. Hall signs in to mark the open of The NASDAQ Stock Market. Gladys Schweiger (right), executive director of the Alzheimer's Foundation of Staten Island, Inc., an AFA member organization, also did the honors, by pushing the button to start the day's trading.
About 30 people affiliated with AFA gather on the podium at The NASDAQ MarketSite as trading begins.

In his remarks at the market open of The NASDAQ Stock Market, AFA's chief executive officer Eric J. Hall urges viewers to contact AFA's toll-free hotline if they are in need of support for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and their families.
