Alzheimer’s Foundation of America Receives $25,000 from Accera, Inc. for ‘Lost & Found’ Campaign Tied to National Memory Screening Day

Eric J. Hall (l.), president and CEO of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, accepts donation from Steve Orndorff, Ph.D., president and CEO of Accera, Inc.

NEW YORK, NY—The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) today received a $25,000 donation from Accera, Inc. following the culmination of the biotechnology company’s “Lost & Found” campaign, an online educational initiative whereby each visit to a dedicated Web site prompted a donation by Accera to benefit AFA’s National Memory Screening Day.

“We remain grateful of organizations and companies such as Accera that have repeatedly demonstrated their commitment to individuals facing this devastating disease and to the cause in general,” said Eric J. Hall, AFA’s president and CEO.

Accera, a Broomfield, CO biotechnology company delivering therapies in central nervous system diseases, tied the presentation of the donation to National Memory Screening Day, a national initiative being held today in which about 2,200 sites across the country are offering free, confidential memory screenings and educational materials about memory concerns and successful aging.
