In addition, he is an adjunct professor of pathology and neurosciences at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, and an a ffiliate professor of chemistry and biochemistry at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Perry, a neuroscientist, is widely recognized for his work in cytopathology, a branch of pathology dealing with cell disease and damage, and has played a key role in distinguishing oxidative damage as the initial cytopathological abnormality in Alzheimer’s disease. His research has appeared in more than 800 professional publications. In announcing Perry’s appointment, Eric J.
